    ThinkWell is an emerging health systems development organization that is currently in a major growth phase. While our core area of work is health financing, we take a health systems approach that includes human resources for health, health information systems, private sector engagement, and research and evaluation. ThinkWell is currently a partner on the USAID Bangladesh Advancing Universal Health Coverage project which has the ambitious goal to transform the Smiling Sun network of clinics into a for-profit pro-poor social enterprise.  Within the AUHC project, ThinkWell leads the Incubator unit which provides strategic and technical support to the newly established and registered Surjer Hashi Network (SHN).

    The Incubator within AUHC project is responsible for providing technical and strategic business advisory services to SHN (Surjer Hashi Network) a sustainable private social enterprise. The role of Business Development Advisors within the Incubator is to assist in validating new business ideas through prototyping, piloting and other innovative ways. This role requires agility, openness to learn, and commitment to achieve goals in the areas of product/service expansion, pricing strategy, efficiency, partnerships, or technology led solutions.



    1. Translate health related product and service strategy into detailed requirements, recommend best validation approach and take through validation funnel for scaling decision.
    2. Develop deep understanding of users’ experience, identifies and fills consumer need gaps and generates new ideas that grow market share, improve user engagement and drive growth through SHN clinic network.
    3. Recommend the nature and scope of present and future revenue lines by reviewing product, service and business specifications and requirements; appraising new product/ service ideas and/or product or packaging changes or pricing changes.
    4. Works closely with analytics and MERL team for projections and cut across system and partnership teams for building consensus.
    5. Assess market competition by comparing the company's product, services, promotions to competitors' activities. Scopes and prioritizes activities based on business and user impact.
    6. Work closely with system and design teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources. Drives product and services launches including working with relevant teams, executives, and other product management team members.
    7. Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed.
    8. Work closely with technical and functional teams, key senior stakeholders/leadership to execute and carefully monitor/report on the results of business engagement/deployment programs and activities; share key learnings with product teams and others; make recommendations about future improvements.
    9. Develop a set of business engagement/product/ service deployment best practices that can be shared across SHN networks.
    10. Connect with leadership teams and practice areas to ensure that the internalization of innovation practices is contributing with positive impact for key initiatives and strategic priorities and AUHC PMP.



    • The candidate will hold a degree in business administration, finance, or public health.
    • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience that includes both business planning/analytics and health service/product delivery.
    • Strong quantitative skills with proficiency in statistics desirable.
    • Fluent command of English.
    • Willingness to travel is essential.
