    ThinkWell is an emerging health systems development organization that is in a major growth phase. Determined to transcend the status quo, ThinkWell was founded in 2011 to provide bold, creative, and practical solutions to helping low- and middle-income countries achieve universal health coverage. While our core area of work is health financing, we take a “whole-of-systems” approach, specializing in five practice areas that intersect with health financing: governance, human resources for health, private sector, public financial management, and research and evaluation.

    Responsibilities

    Reporting the HR Director, the successful candidate will:

     

    • Lead new hire orientation for all employees including Expatriates and Third Country Nationals (TCN’s); 
    • Lead all onboarding efforts and coordination;
    • Understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and innovative procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR;
    • Exhibit a true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully engage with employees;
    • Support annual performance and merit review administration cycles; 
    • Support payroll through effective communication of benefits, employee requests and benefits and/or payroll-related changes;
    • Successfully create and drive effective employee relations, retention and reward programs;
    • Have the ability to be comfortable with high volume workload and not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves" and manage multiple priorities simultaneously - orientated on results;
    • Be solutions focused and comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions;
    • Have strong internal and external customer service focus and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills;
    • Effectively and accurately administrate employee records, including, but not limited to: organizational charts, training, benefit and general employee information both in employee files and related employee database systems (HRIS and ADP, Egnyte);  
    • Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and systems. 

    Qualifications

    • BS/BA in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field, and 5-6 years relevant experience or Master’s degree with at least 4 years’ experience with full life-cycle recruitment. 
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality for sensitive Human Resources issues or projects and use judgment and decision-making to execute duties and responsibilities. 
    • Experience in international development arena or international recruiting.
    • Working knowledge of employment regulations/laws. 
    • Knowledge of US government regulations, including USAID or other donors. 
    • Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment.
    • Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement; Demonstrated experience driving processes improvements.
    • Strong project management skills; ability to lead projects at a network level to influence and obtain buy-in, and then drive execution and achievement of the right results. 
    • Perform detail-oriented work with a high level of accuracy.
