    Within the AUHC project, ThinkWell will lead the incubator unit which will provide strategic and technical support to the newly established Surjer Hashi (Smiling Sun) Group (SHN), a sustainable pro-poor social enterprise. The Financial Analyst is responsible for development and analysis of various resources for newly established SHN. This will include but not limited to finance and operations related data, policies and procedures. The incumbent will also require to provide input in financial management of SHN operated clinics in initial stages. This person will also coordinate with other departments in the AUHC Incubator and Operator to coordinate and provide input in other activities.

    The position is based in DC, with quarterly travels required to Bangladesh. In collaboration and under supervision of Program manager, the financial analyst will have the following responsibilities:

    Responsibilities

    • Create business planning tools to systematically collect and monitor revenue (product sales and services) and costing information at different levels within the social enterprise.
    • Develop tools to inform pricing strategies for the social enterprise’s range of products and services.
    • Generate and use financial tools (including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements) and provide regular financial reporting.
    • Translate financial information into useful format to aid business decision-making to pursue business growth and diversification models.
    • Develop reporting for information, including profitability and efficiency analysis.
    • Develop tools and support in-country team to conduct market analysis, monitor trends and cost drivers, track key product and service performance metrics for decision-making and management reporting.
    • Develop tools to assist marketing and sales teams to develop and monitor marketing budgets for improved impact and cost-efficiency.
    • Develop tools and support social enterprise teams to conduct market analysis, monitor trends and cost drivers, track key product and service performance metrics for decision-making and management reporting.
    • Support development of business plans for new opportunities (products, services) and development of business models to evaluate market development and investment opportunities for cost-recovery and profitability utilizing capital budgeting techniques (NPV, ROI, IRR)
    • Develops financial analysis capacity building activities to transfer financial analytics knowledge to the project team and to new staff of SHN
    • Support the AUCH project director in overall project management tasks

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or Finance required, Masters (Finance) or MBS preferred
    • 5 + years of progressive experience in a Corporate Finance role or working independently developing sophisticated financial and operational models
    • Experience in working with finance and marketing teams in fast moving consumer goods or pharmaceutical environment
    • Strong analytical skills, and ability to communicate and explain financial concepts to non-financial colleagues
