  • Overview

    The Revenue Generation Advisor is responsible for providing leadership and strategic guidance to SHN to plan and manage revenue generation targets for long-term sustainability of the social enterprise. The candidate will report to the Strategic Finance Director and manage a small team of Sales Advisors. This unit will work with different teams of the incubator to develop and promote new revenue streams and attract additional resources, which could include private investment, donor/foundation funding, debt financing, or government funding.

    Responsibilities

    • In partnership with the Strategic Finance Director, provide the incubator with strategic direction for innovative, sustainable plans for revenue generation and resource mobilization for SHN.
    • Participate in the SHN business plan development process, provide inputs to developing revenue generation goals and strategies.
    • Oversee sales advisors to help SHN build an initial revenue base from services delivered by the network clinics and products marketed through the network.
    • Work with other teams of the incubator to explore new revenue generation streams for SHN as partner and service provider to private sector and the Government of Bangladesh.
    • Support Strategic Finance Director to create and maintain oversight of new revenue generating schemes, such as a subsidy fund to expand health coverage of the poor and enable SHG to maintain competitive rates vis-à-vis other private health care service providers.
    • Provide input for overall project landscape analysis, the creation of business plan and the management framework for SHG.
    • Ensure the systematic use of scientific and technical knowledge in all activity’s design, implementation, and monitoring to advance UHC in Bangladesh.
    • Contribute to the project’s overall learning agenda
    • Respond to ThinkWell Global Headquarters and donor to their queries at regular basis.
    • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

    Qualifications

    • The candidate will hold an advanced degree in business administration, marketing, law, finance, public health, or another relevant field;
    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including working with innovative or complex financial instruments to leverage and attract resources and overseeing a revenue and resource mobilization team for sales and business development;
    • Experience in the leveraging of resources from the private and public sector;
    • Experience in business development and revenue generation, such as management/strategic consulting, investment banking, private equity/venture capital, or strategic marketing.
    • Experience working with ministries of health and finance and proven track record to knowledgably and effectively interact with both key actors;
    • Experience working with donors, governments, or NGOs in international development finance or a related field.
    • Experience of living and working in a low \-income or lower-middle income country is highly desirable;
    • Strong quantitative skills, proficiency in Stata or another statistics software is desirable;
    • Fluent command of English and Bengali;
    • Willingness to travel is essential
