  • Overview

    The Network Expansion Advisor is responsible for strategic alliances and partnerships to offer added value services to the clients of SHN and accountable for business growth of SHN through a vibrant network. The candidate will report to the Due Diligence Advisor. (S)he will work with different teams of the incubator to develop and promote new revenue streams and attract additional resources by developing a vibrant network of market actors in delivering health services and related products.

    Responsibilities

    • Initiate collaborative efforts with other team members to design and implement a network development strategy for operations efficiency, revenue and business growth of SHN
    • Provide technical inputs to support the incubator to design and implement scalable systems and processes that optimize resource utilization and maximize efficiency of the network
    • Lead business extension/expansion strategy, testing and proto-typing before planning full-fledged implementation of a network development and expansion strategy
    • Support development of the SHN business plan, by providing specific inputs related to expansion plan for the SHN network in terms of services, products and partnerships
    • In partnership with the Revenue Generation Advisor, provide the incubator with strategic direction for supporting SHN to develop referral linkages with secondary and tertiary care providers to assure comprehensive service coverage.
    • Monitor and update knowledge of the business environment, identify new and emerging network expansion opportunities, assess risks and provide strategic guidance for building the network to exacting standards of quality and governance.
    • Guide and support SHN’s partnerships and contracts with pharmaceutical companies, consumer health and hygiene businesses in developing new revenue streams for the company
    • Ensure the systematic use of scientific and technical knowledge in all activity’s design, implementation, and monitoring to advance UHC in Bangladesh
    • Contribute to the project’s overall learning agenda
    • Work with short-term technical assistance pool and strategic procurement of subcontract services, including from Ad-din and Green Delta, on the creation and implementation of an insurance pilot.
    • Respond to ThinkWell Global Headquarters and donor to their queries at regular basis.
    • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

    Qualifications

    • The candidate will hold an advanced degree in business administration, marketing, finance, public health, or another relevant field;
    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including managing franchise or distribution business, supply chain, partnership and business development.
    • Experience in the leveraging of resources from the private and public sector, preferably within the health sector.
    • Experience working with donors, governments, or NGOs in international development finance or a related field.
    • Experience of living and working in a low \-income or lower-middle income country is highly desirable;
    • Strong quantitative skills, proficiency in Stata or another statistics software is desirable;
    • Fluent command of English and Bengali;
    • Willingness to travel is essential.
