ThinkWell is an emerging health systems development organization that is currently in a major growth phase. We are looking for talented and dynamic individuals to both plan and execute an assessment of our information systems, as well as to provide ongoing IT support to clients. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience and strong relationships skills to virtually support ThinkWell’s staff in various locations worldwide (US, Mozambique, and Geneva). 

The incumbent should be prepared both to work independently, as well as engaging with staff on needs assessment and training and support. The incumbent will understand how to support remote field-based programs and staff. The candidate should be a ‘builder’-- enthusiastic to shape the growth of a cutting-edge enterprise.

We are looking for consultants for 30% LOE.

Responsibilities

Information systems assessment and ongoing compliance

  • Oversee all technology operations and evaluate them according to established goals.
  • Revise and implement IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management.
  • Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs.
  • Ensure systems protect user data through encryption, secure data storage, and other necessary means.
  • Align IT with business to streamline business processes, improve productivity and increase competitive advantage.
  • Liaise with vendors and manage subscriptions.

Ongoing virtual technical troubleshooting, support, and training

  • Assist with the installation and configuration of new hardware and software and provide initial training to incoming staff on systems and applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and across a range of software applications.
  • Manage software and hardware upgrades.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organization.
  • Assists in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet users’ requirements.
  • Assist with maintenance of website security and integration.
  • Serve as liaison with external technology vendors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Desired certifications include Comptia A+, ITIL, or similar;
  • 4-7 years’ experience working in an IT administrative environment, 1-2 years’ experience providing remote support;
  • Experience working in a dispersed work environment.
