ThinkWell is an emerging health systems development organization that is currently in a major growth phase. We are looking for talented and dynamic individuals to both plan and execute an assessment of our information systems, as well as to provide ongoing IT support to clients. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience and strong relationships skills to virtually support ThinkWell’s staff in various locations worldwide (US, Mozambique, and Geneva). 

The incumbent should be prepared both to work independently, as well as engaging with staff on needs assessment and training and support. The incumbent will understand how to support remote field-based programs and staff. The candidate should be a ‘builder’-- enthusiastic to shape the growth of a cutting-edge enterprise.

This is a part-time position


Information systems assessment and ongoing compliance

  • Assess current systems and process for internal communication and survey staff on their use and satisfaction. This assessment will include email, file servers, communication platforms, and conferencing systems.
  • Review current software in use at ThinkWell, inventory procedures, replacement and disposal.
  • Evaluate need for and advantages of a virtual collaboration/communication system in the context of a small, dispersed, and nimble organization. Landscape potential software solutions to respond to company needs.
  • Review and recommend improvements to current IT policy and procedures, including disposal/replacement, loss, donor equipment, to increase efficiency, enhance workflow and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure systems protect user data through encryption, secure data storage and other necessary means.

Ongoing virtual technical troubleshooting, support, and training

  • Assist with the installation and configuration of new hardware and software and provide initial training to incoming staff on systems and applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and across a range of software applications.
  • Manage software and hardware upgrades.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organization.
  • Assists in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet users’ requirements.
  • Assist with maintenance of website security and integration.
  • Serve as liaison with external technology vendors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required;
  • 4-7 years’ experience working in an IT administrative environment, 1-2 years’ experience providing remote support;
  • Experience working in a dispersed work environment;
  • Industry certifications and memberships a plus.
